Fire Causes $150,000 in Damage at DeKalb Industrial Building

DEKALB – A fire caused an estimated $150,000 in damage at an industrial building in the 800 Block of East Locust St. in DeKalb on Tuesday evening. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the single-story structure and began an interior fire attack. The fire, which originated in industrial machinery and spread to nearby products, was brought under control within 45 minutes. No injuries were reported. Crews remained on scene for about two hours, with assistance from multiple area departments. The cause of the fire is still under investigation
