FORRESTON — A Forreston man suffered serious injuries in a two vehicle crash Friday afternoon at the intersection of Freeport Road and Lanark Road in rural Forreston, according to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the crash happened around 3:10 p.m. when an SUV driven by a 64-year-old Chicago woman traveled west on Lanark Road and allegedly went through a stop intersection into the path of a southbound passenger vehicle driven by a 66-year-old Freeport man. He sustained serious injuries and was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital. The Chicago driver was not injured.
