Sandwich Man Charged With Child Sexual Abuse Material Possession

SANDWICH — A Sandwich man was charged after a child sexual abuse material investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said the investigation began after the Downers Grove Police Department received a cyber tip from Google reporting files containing child sexual abuse material had been uploaded to Google Drive. Investigators identified 18-year-old Blake A. Haefner of Sandwich and executed a search warrant at his residence. Authorities said about 140 files containing child sexual abuse material were found on Haefner’s cell phone. He was charged with 15 Class 2 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and remains held at the DeKalb County Jail.
