OGLESBY — The Illinois Department of Natural Resources will host a Bats in the Spotlight program on Sunday, Aug. 16, at Starved Rock State Park. The program will teach visitors about the 13 bat species found in Illinois and how scientists study them. Participants will also take part in an outdoor acoustic walk to help locate bat species. Registration is available through the Starved Rock Eventbrite page. The program will be held at Starved Rock State Park in Oglesby.
