SYCAMORE — The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office issued 98 speeding citations during a traffic safety campaign conducted throughout July to encourage motorists to slow down and help reduce fatal crashes. Deputies also issued two seat belt citations, two citations for driving with a suspended or revoked license, seven citations to uninsured motorists, and 18 other citations. The campaign was part of a statewide traffic safety effort involving state and local law enforcement agencies and was funded through federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
