CORTLAND — Cortland SummerFest returns Friday and Saturday at Cortland Community Park with live music, fireworks, food vendors and family activities. The Cortland Lions Club event runs from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, with fireworks scheduled at dark Friday night. New this year is a STEAM experience featuring hands on exhibits focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, along with a meet and greet and craft activity with Jessie from Toy Story.
“So Saturday is called our Family Fun Day and we are super excited not only to welcome some amazing music but some really fun activities for everyone in your family. As well as for the whole family, we’re going to have Mobile Ed with the STEAM Museum and that is going to feature virtual reality, robots, 3D printing and more,” said Jessica Nava, marketing coordinator with Cortland SummerFest.
Friday’s entertainment includes Hannah Blue and the Chills and the Ryan Craig Band, followed by fireworks. Saturday’s lineup features Rick Lindy and the Wild Ones, No Limit, the Neverly Brothers and Richrath Project REO, a tribute to REO Speedwagon. Admission is free for those 20 and younger, while adults 21 and older pay $5. Cortland SummerFest will be held at Cortland Community Park, 70 S. Llanos St. in Cortland.
