DIXON – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a college scholarship provided through the Illinois Sheriffs Association. One student from Lee County will receive at least 500 dollars for the 2025 and 2026 academic year to help pay for tuition and books. Applicants must be permanent Illinois residents and plan to enroll as full time students at a certified school within the state. The funds will be paid directly to the institution and divided between the fall and spring semesters. Interested students should submit a completed application and a written essay to the local sheriff by March 14th.
