The Cubs are swinging a couple of trades with the Blue Jays. The team sent Jameson Taillon to Toronto for a player to be named later. The 34-year-old was designated for assignment last week after recording an ERA nearing six in 76 innings pitched.
The Cubs followed up by acquiring Kevin Gausman from the Jays in a separate deal. The 35-year-old is 5-and-10 with a 4.38 ERA this year.
