As summer gets underway, the community is invited to roll up a sleeve and help “Save Our Summer” at an upcoming blood drive hosted at Holcomb Bank.
The Save Our Summer Blood Drive will take place Wednesday, June 3, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Holcomb Bank, 233 E. IL-38 in Rochelle. The event is held in partnership with Rock River Valley Blood Center and is designed to help replenish the blood supply during one of the most critical times of the year.
Summer months often bring a decline in donations while demand remains steady. Organizers say every donation can make a life-saving difference for patients in local hospitals and throughout the region.
Walk-in appointments are welcome, but donors are encouraged to reserve their preferred time in advance to ensure a smooth experience.
As a thank-you, all successful donors will receive one free item of their choice from Headon’s On-The-Go food truck, which will be on site during the event. It’s a simple way to give back while enjoying a tasty treat.
Community members who are healthy and eligible to donate are encouraged to participate and help keep the local blood supply strong.
