Rochelle Township High School Approves Budget

ROCHELLE – The Rochelle Township High School Board approved its budget Monday night after the spending plan was on public display since June. The education fund begins with $16.34 million and includes $13.33 million in expected revenue and $20.68 million in expenditures. The operation and maintenance fund starts with $1.4 million, with $1.49 million in revenue and $1.64 million in expenditures. The debt service fund begins with $884,605, with $1.48 million in revenue and $1.53 million in expenditures. The transportation fund starts with $1.43 million, with $1.15 million in revenue and $1.81 million in expenditures. The capital projects fund begins with $604,123 and includes $355,195 in expected revenue and $98,000 in expenditures. The district said planned deficits in some funds are tied to its GASB 54 reserve reduction plan and future facility and health and life safety projects identified in its 10 year plan. District Business Manager Kevin Dale said the budget is essentially balanced when those planned expenditures are considered.
