Rochelle Approves Plat for Future Business Park Development

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle City Council approved preliminary and final plats for Phase 3 of the Rochelle Business and Technology Park, clearing the way for future development on property along Technology Parkway. The subdivision changes the property lines of two parcels zoned B2 Highway Commercial. City officials said the changes will create a proposed Lot 6 for a future development and leave another parcel that could be marketed for a separate project. A purchase and sale agreement for the proposed development has not yet been completed and will require future council approval. The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 5-0 Aug. 3 to recommend approval of the plats. The council approved the measure 6-0.
