SYCAMORE – A DeKalb County teen is facing three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault after allegedly abusing a child at a residence. The DeKalb County State’s Attorney’s Office charged the 16-year-old as an adult last month after a woman informed the Sheriff’s Department that her daughter, who is younger than 9, was assaulted by the teen. Court documents say the victim was being supervised at a private pool by the suspect. The three charges are Class X felonies. The teen was taken to a juvenile detention center where they remain after being denied pretrial release. They are next scheduled to appear in DeKalb County Court on August 20th.
