Ogle County Approves Memorial Plaza at Courthouse Campus

OREGON — The Ogle County Board approved plans for a Memorial Plaza on the south side of the courthouse campus Wednesday after a recommendation from the Long Range Planning Committee. The project will be paid for with a grant for green space at the former jail site, with any remaining costs covered by the county capital expense fund. Officials said the work was awarded to O’Brien Civil Works for about $200,700. Plans call for accessible walkways to the existing memorial, added lighting, and a green space that fits with the courthouse grounds.
