LEAF RIVER — A 31-year-old Macomb man was arrested after a single vehicle UTV crash late last Thursday in the 3000 block of West Lightsville Road near Leaf River. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies claim Carl Ford Jr. was allegedly driving a UTV when he overcorrected and the vehicle overturned. Authorities said he was arrested for driving under the influence and driving while license suspended. He was also taken into custody on a McDonough County warrant and a United States Marshals Service warrant. Ford Jr. was transported to the Ogle County Jail and later taken to OSF St. Katharine for treatment of non life threatening injuries. He was also cited for leaving the scene, no insurance, improper lane usage, operating a non highway vehicle on the roadway and failure to reduce speed. Deputies were assisted by Leaf River EMS and fire personnel.
