Kirkland Gears Up for 78th Annual 4th of July Festival

One of Northern Illinois’ favorite Independence Day traditions is returning this summer as the 78th Annual Kirkland 4th of July Festival takes over Franklin Township Park from July 2-4.

The three-day celebration will once again bring the community together with live music, carnival rides, food vendors, games, a parade, a car and tractor show, family activities, and one of the area’s biggest fireworks displays.

Festival organizers say this year’s entertainment lineup will feature performances from Ethan Larson, Back Country Roads, Six Pack Band, Back Forward Band and more throughout the holiday weekend.
