Kingston Woman Charged After Business Window Damaged

KINGSTON — A 28-year-old Kingston woman was charged early Monday after deputies responded to a burglar alarm at a business in Kingston. According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to 100 Block of  East Railroad Street at about midnight Sunday. Deputies located Lelaina I. McGill sitting outside the building and observed that the front door window allegedly had been broken. Authorities claim McGill admitted to breaking the window and noted she had allegedly threatened earlier in the night to vandalize the business. She was charged with criminal damage to property and later released with a notice to appear.
