Flagg Township Assessor Staff Conducting Property Reviews Through Fall

ROCHELLE — The Flagg Township Assessor’s Office announced that field staff will be walking properties throughout the township through late fall to collect data and take photographs for property record cards. The reviews are required by the State of Illinois to keep property records current. Staff members will wear neon yellow vests with the Flagg Township logo and display identification credentials on a lanyard. They will use clipboards and cameras to document structures and property improvements. If measurements are needed, staff will ask for permission before entering a property and will leave a yellow door hanger with contact information if no one is home. Staff will also carry business cards for residents who have questions. The assessor’s office said field staff will never ask to enter a residence.
