Gas Prices Vary Across Northern Illinois As Global Tensions Rise

REGION – Gas prices across northern Illinois continue to vary with Ogle County at $4.12 per gallon for regular fuel, Lee County at $4.04, and DeKalb County at $4.20, compared with the national average of $4.02 and the Illinois average of $4.29. Crude oil prices have remained below $100 a barrel following a two week ceasefire announcement between the United States and Iran, but maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains limited as regional tensions continue.
