SHABBONA — A former athletic trainer at Indian Creek High School has been charged following an investigation into an alleged inappropriate relationship with a student. Christina G. Payton, 27, of Creston, turned herself in Aug. 5 and is charged with four counts of official misconduct, four felony counts of distribution of harmful material to a minor, and four misdemeanor counts of the same offense. She was released under the Illinois SAFE-T Act and is due in court Aug. 27.
