(Lake Forest, IL) — The Chicago Bears are bolstering their linebacker depth. The team signed Tony Fields to a contract for the 2026 season yesterday.
Fields played for the Columbus Aviators in the UFL last season, but he was originally drafted by the Browns in the fifth-round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Fields has appeared in 45 NFL games, tallying one interception, a fumble recovery touchdown, and 88 tackles.
Former Bears general manager Ryan Pace is getting a new job. He has been named to the Vikings front office in an advisory role.
Pace served six years with the Bears where he won executive of the year once and reached the playoffs twice.
He recently was let go as the vice president of football operations and player personnel with the Falcons.
