NIU has received a big boost to their football program as quarterback Taron Dickens has decided to play for the Huskies.
Last season at Western Carolina, Dickens threw for 3,508 yards and 38 touchdowns. He set an NCAA record with 46 consecutive completions in a single game.
Dickens had originally signed with North Carolima out of the transfer portal. He was released by the school before he signed with NIU.
He has 2 years of eligibility remaining in college football.
