ROCHELLE – The Rochelle City Council authorized the City Manager to sign a grant agreement last week with the Illinois Department of Transportation for approximately $1.188 million in federal and state funding for the Rochelle City Airport. The grant includes $1.153 million in federal funds through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program and will help cover eligible costs for the eight unit T-Hangar project approved by the City Council in December 2025.
