World Mental Health Day Observed Globally Today

ROCHELLE – World Mental Health Day will be marked today as a global observance dedicated to raising awareness and promoting support for mental well-being. Established in 1992 by the World Federation for Mental Health and now organized by the World Health Organization, the day emphasizes the importance of mental health alongside physical health, encourages open discussion to reduce stigma, and advocates for improved services and stronger policies.

Andy Jackson, Marketing Manager with Sinnissippi Centers, said there is always hope.

“Mental illnesses are very treatable with the counseling medication often, and you can treat those symptoms and get an improved quality of life,” he said.
