ROCKFORD — A 30-year-old Wisconsin man is dead after allegedly fleeing from authorities and crashing in Boone County. Authorities say Christian Castillo sped away from Winnebago County deputies after he was kicked out of the Hard Rock Casino in Rockford early Sunday. Castillo, who was believed to be under the influence, eventually hit a utility pole near North State and East Marshall streets. He died at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
