The Chicago White Sox began their series against the Philadelphia Phillies with a 6-2 win at Rate Field. Luis Robert Jr. hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth to put the Southsiders up for good, while Colson Montgomery also went deep.
Davis Martin picked up his third win after allowing two runs on six hits in five-and-two-thirds frames. The Sox remain in last place in the AL Central at 39-and-68.
Cristopher Sanchez was charged with his third loss after surrendering four runs on seven hits in six-and-two-thirds innings. The Phillies are in second place in the NL East at 60-and-46.
