Two Hospitalized After Semi Crash in DeKalb County

MAPLE PARK  — Two people were hospitalized Wednesday morning after a passenger vehicle became trapped under a semi trailer at the intersection of Perry and East County Line roads in DeKalb County. The semi, driven by a 32-year-old Riverdale man, allegedly pulled in front of the vehicle, causing a collision. The 66-year-old driver from Sycamore, was airlifted to a Downers Grove hospital, while his 90-year-old passenger was taken to an area hospital. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The semi driver was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection.
