ROCKFORD – A teen is charged with robbery during an online purchase exchange in Rockford. Police say a 17-year-old boy arranged a meeting with another person Saturday morning in the 17-hundred block of School Street. The teen entered the passenger seat of the victim’s vehicle, implied he had a weapon, and demanded the victim’s phone. He then sent himself digital funds, took the items, and exited the vehicle. He was later arrested in the 17-hundred block of School Street on robbery, theft and gun charges.
