CHICAGO — Gas prices across the country have fallen to levels not seen since July 2021, with the national average hitting $3.14 before rising slightly to $3.17, according to the American Automobile Association. The drop is linked to strong oil supply and steady prices throughout 2025. As of July 10, the national average sits at $3.15, with Illinois averaging $3.46. In northern Illinois, prices are $3.15 in Lee County, $3.19 in Ogle County, and $3.34 in DeKalb County.
