ROCHELLE — Rochelle Township High School Superintendent Dr. Jason Harper updated the board last Monday on ongoing and upcoming facility projects. The detention pond is complete, and the Library Media Center remodel will open for use in early September, with a ribbon-cutting set for Sept. 15. Other recent upgrades include adjustable desks and power supplies in the Hub Gallery, a Perry weather system for lightning and heat monitoring at the stadium, LED auditorium lighting with digital sound upgrades, new scoreboards for baseball and softball, expanded and heated storage areas, and improved hall lighting. Health grant improvements added new seating, a sensory decompression space, and soundproofing.
