OREGON — The Rock River Valley Blood Center will conduct a blood drive on Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Oregon United Methodist Church, 200 S. 4th St., Oregon, IL 61061. RRVBC supplies the total blood needs for 14 area hospitals and relies on donors from nine counties to provide lifesaving products. Maggie Anderson, Donor Recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, said donations are critical this time of year.
“More than 800 units of blood are needed each week to ensure patients have access to lifesaving transfusions when emergencies occur,” she said.
Donors should bring a photo ID; appointments are recommended but not required.
