The Royals had home runs by Mike Yastrzemski and John Rave.
Daniel Lynch picked up the win in relief.
Sean Burke took the loss for the White Sox. Andrew Benintendi had a 2-run double in the 8th inning.
The Royals are (19-3) against the White Sox since the start of last season.
Chicago has lost 10 out of their last 12 games.
