ROCKFORD – The city of Rockford is looking for a new fire chief. Candidates are encouraged to apply for the job. The search follows the departure of Chief Michele Pankow, who was appointed Fire Marshal for the State of Illinois. Brian Carlson has been serving as interim chief.
