A Rockford man has been arrested and faces a First Degree Murder charge, following a Friday morning shooting that left a 19-year-old dead.
Rockford Police report that 40 year old Andre Moreland is accused of first-degree murder and having an outstanding warrant.
Just after midnight Friday, Ethan Austin of Rockford was at The Broadway Food and Liquor store, when he was shot. Austin was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Detectives say the shooting happened during a fight in the parking lot of the liquor store and identified Moreland as their suspect. Moreland was arrested Friday afternoon.
40-year-old Andre Moreland was taking into custody Friday afternoon and faces charges for First Degree Murder.
