Rockford Alderwoman Charged With Domestic Battery

ROCKFORD-  A Rockford City Council member is charged with domestic battery.  Police say Alderwoman Janessa Wilkins was charged last week after she hit her teenage daughter with a leather belt.  Wilkins told officers she was attempting to discipline her daughter after she took 200-dollars from her bedroom without permission.  She is due in court March 14th.
