A Rochelle woman was injured following a single vehicle accident Monday afternoon on East Bethel Road in Rochelle. Ogle County Deputies report that an orange 2013 Mini Cooper, operated by 68 year old Lisa Andrews was westbound in the 13000 block of East Bethel Road, when the vehicle left the roadway, striking a cement culvert. Andrews was required to be extricated from the vehicle by Rochelle Fire, and Ogle/Lee Fire personnel. Andrews was transported by Life Flight Helicopter to Saint Anthony’s Hospital in Rockford for treatment of serious injuries. Deputies were assisted on the scene by Rochelle Fire/EMS, Ogle/Lee Fire/EMS, and Life Flight Helicopter Service. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
