ROCHELLE — The Rochelle City Council raised the speed limit on Creston Road from 40 mph to 50 mph between Caron Road and the Interstate 39 overpass. City officials said Monday night the road carries more than 2,200 vehicles each day, including a large amount of truck traffic. The recommendation follows a traffic study completed after major road improvements were finished in 2024. City staff said the higher speed limit would better match current road conditions and traffic patterns.
