Rochelle Man Cited After Crash on Illinois Route 64 

ROCHELLE — Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two vehicle crash at about 12:17 p.m. Saturday at East Illinois Route 64 and South Mulford Road that resulted in minor injuries. Deputies said a sport utility vehicle driven by a 20 year old Wisconsin man was stopped at the intersection waiting to turn north onto South Mulford Road when a sport utility vehicle driven by a 54 year old Rochelle man traveling east on Illinois Route 64 struck the rear of the vehicle after failing to reduce speed. The Rochelle man was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and has a future court date. Both drivers were taken by the Rochelle Fire Department to Rochelle Community Hospital with suspected minor injuries. The Creston Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
