ROCHELLE – The City of Rochelle will begin its annual leaf vacuum service Monday, Oct. 19, with collections scheduled by area throughout the week. Crews will collect leaves south of First Avenue on Mondays, north of First Avenue and east of Illinois Route 251 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and north of First Avenue and west of Route 251 on Thursdays and Fridays. Each street will receive one collection per week. Residents are asked to park vehicles away from leaf piles to give the large vacuum trucks room to work safely. The city plans to add a second truck as leaf volumes increase. Residents can check the city’s Facebook page for schedule changes or delays.
