ROCHELLE — The Rochelle City Council approved an employment agreement appointing Zeke Jackson as the next city manager. The contract runs through May 1, 2029, with an official start date of June 8, 2026. Jackson will receive an annual salary of $190,000 and executive level benefits under the agreement.
Jackson said he was excited to work with the city and can see many avenues for growth, especially with industry.“I always like to think global and act local. And at this moment, internationally, we’re going through deglobalization. And what that really sets up for Rochelle is an opportunity to go out and grab those industries that need to reshore back into the United States.”
