ROCHELLE — 102.3 The Coyote, SuperHits! 93.5 and Prescott Brothers Ford in Rochelle will host the 20th annual 2-Ton Food Drive on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to benefit the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry. The event gathers nonperishable food items and donations to help local families through the winter months. Last year’s drive raised more than $16,000, and organizers hope to surpass that total with a goal of $20,000 and two tons of food this year. The food distribution is scheduled for Saturday, November 22nd, starting at 9 AM.
Chad Young with Prescott Brothers Ford in Rochelle said they will try to make it go as quick as possible.
“Everybody gets a box with a turkey that comes down. So yeah, they start lining up pretty early, but there definitely will be enough,” he said.
