DAVENPORT, Iowa — Rhythm City Casino Resort will celebrate its 10th anniversary this weekend with giveaways, fireworks, concerts and live entertainment. The casino will award a share of $100,000 in prizes through anniversary drawings held from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. both days, including a $13,000 cash grand prize each night. Guests can also take part in a $5,000 swag bag giveaway, with select winners receiving up to $500 in free slot play. A free fireworks show is planned for Friday evening on the west lawn, weather permitting, and a free concert featuring Arch Allies will be held Saturday night in the Event Center. Additional entertainment will take place in the Rhythm Room both nights. Marketing representative Sandra Sunhausen said Rhythm City has built its entertainment reputation over the past decade by attracting rock music acts and comedians.
“We are trying to look for possibly an outdoor show where we can bring some larger artists in for that. So Foreigner, maybe Journey,” Sunhausen said.
The resort employs about 300 people and serves visitors from across the Midwest.
