Pritzker Touting New Hemp, Cannabis Regulations 

SPRINGFIELD  —  Governor JB Pritzker is celebrating the state’s new cannabis and hemp regulations.  According to Pritzker and other advocates, the new law is meant to make the intoxicating hemp industry safer and the cannabis industry more equitable.  Last month, the state banned the sale of intoxicating hemp to consumers under 21.  The new regulations, that are a byproduct of the statewide ban, include childproof packaging and a ban on marketing geared toward children, will go into effect in November.
