Pritzker To Sign Eight Consecutive Balanced State Budget

CHICAGO  —  Governor Pritzker will sign his eighth consecutive balanced budget for the state of Illinois today.  The Illinois General Assembly passed a nearly 56-billion-dollar spending plan for 2027 before the end of the spring legislative session.  The spending plan includes new taxes on prediction markets, cryptocurrency, and digital advertising revenue.  The signing will take place in Chicago.
