CHICAGO — Gov. JB Pritzker and the Illinois Arts Council have awarded $16.2 million in grants to 1,123 artists, organizations, and communities statewide to support arts programming, youth employment, and regional cultural projects. DeKalb, Lee, and Ogle counties together received $115,040, with highlights including $40,000 to the Preservation of the Egyptian Theatre in DeKalb and $10,000 to The Next Picture Show in Dixon. The funding supports creative workforces, strengthens cultural institutions, and expands opportunities for young people to gain experience in the arts.
