MALTA — The Rotaract Club of Sycamore will host the Pints for Pups outdoor market May 2 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Jonamac Orchard in Malta, with proceeds benefiting Tails Humane Society, the Voluntary Action Center Meals on Wheels HomeBuddies Program, and local service animals including Duo Dog Laddie at the Family Service Agency of DeKalb County. Organizers said funds will help provide supplies and care for adoptable pets, assist homebound residents and their animals, and support service dogs in the community. The event will feature local beverages, food vendors, demonstrations on pet safety and first aid, adoptable dogs, and activities for pet owners. Admission is a $5 donation or pet supplies, with children under 16 admitted free and dogs allowed at no cost if leashed and vaccinated.
President of Rotaract Club of Sycamore Anna Wilson said she is hoping for a large turnout.
“ It will be our inaugural year. We would love to have everybody come out and join us,” Wilson said. “And we want you to bring yourself and your fur babies out to enjoy a day at the orchard.”
Brothers Country Supply will match donations with pet food contributions, and the first 250 guests age 16 and older will receive a souvenir cup.
