MT. MORRIS — Ogle County deputies and Mt Morris EMS and Fire responded around 11 a.m. Friday to Mt Morris Estates on West Illinois Route 64 for a report of a vehicle that struck a juvenile pedestrian on private property. Deputies said a 38 year old Mt Morris man was driving eastbound in a pickup when he allegedly lost control, traveled across a grass field, and struck a 4 year old girl and a 30 year old man, both of Mt Morris. The pickup then struck an unoccupied vehicle. The child was taken to OSF Saint Katharine Medical Center in Dixon with non life threatening injuries. The adult man was also taken there with serious but non life threatening injuries and was later transferred to Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford for further treatment. The driver was transported to OSF Saint Katharine Medical Center with non life threatening injuries. Deputies said the driver may have experienced a medical issue while driving. The crash remains under investigation.
