OREGON — The Oregon Police Department reported the following activity for April 2026. Arrests and citations listed are accusations and all individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
April 2: Lisa A. Kopplin, 56, Rockford, was arrested on two warrants, including aggravated battery and failure to appear on a DUI charge. She was taken to the Ogle County Jail and released to corrections officers.
April 3: Officers issued citations to Tyler S. Bettner, 41, Mt. Morris, for uninsured vehicle operation; Laura A. Molter, 64, St. Charles, for expired registration; and Alex C. Schriner, 32, Rock Falls, for expired registration.
April 4: Citations were issued to James S. Hopkins, 58, Esmond; Tranchina Salvatore, 59, Oregon; Payton A. Clouse, 35, Oregon; and Mary Williamsen, 31, Rock Falls, for stop sign violations and expired registration.
April 5: Antonio Martinez, 56, Oregon, was arrested for retail theft reported April 3. He was processed and released with a notice to appear.
April 8: Zoe E. Prascak, 24, Oregon, was cited for cell phone use while driving.
April 9: Kylie J. Fairbanks, 23, Oregon, was cited for suspended registration for noninsurance, and a 17 year old Chana juvenile was cited for seatbelt violation.
April 10: Samantha R. Norup, 31, Byron, was arrested for retail theft and released with a notice to appear. Nicole M. Mason, 43, Oregon, was arrested on a Lee County warrant and released with a court date.
April 11: Officers reported a crash from April 10 involving Toney D. Stutesman, 50, Oregon, and a parked vehicle owned by Allen W. Proffitt, 56, Rochelle. Stutesman was cited for improper backing.
April 12: Alexander M. Emmons, 35, Oregon, was cited for expired registration.
April 13: Sabrina M. Ugorek, 46, Oregon, was cited for uninsured vehicle operation. Kadejah N. Potts, 32, Rockford, was cited for uninsured vehicle and suspended registration.
April 14: Richard E. Rowland, 86, Polo, was cited for uninsured vehicle and suspended registration.
April 17: Laura A. Hewitt, 61, Chana, was cited for uninsured vehicle and suspended registration. Xavier L. Koczka, 18, Mt. Morris, was cited for uninsured vehicle operation.
April 18: William C.C. Dace, 30, Oregon, was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
April 19: Joseph R. Diehl, 32, Oregon, was arrested for driving while license suspended. Leo R. Dempewolf III, 34, Oregon, was cited for seatbelt violation. Shylla Matos, 19, Roselle, was cited for speeding. Adeline F. Morrissette, 20, Rochelle, was cited for expired registration.
April 20: Fernando A. Campuzano, 34, Algona, Iowa, was cited for speeding. A 15 year old Oregon juvenile was taken into limited custody for retail theft and released to a parent. Russell E. Doran, 50, Oregon, was arrested for criminal trespass at Dollar General.
April 22: Brandon J. Kays, 45, Granville, was cited for disobeying a traffic sign. Barbara J. Ohata, 81, Oregon, was cited for allowing a dog to run at large.
April 23: Brian D. Ostrander, 30, Mt. Morris, was cited for failure to yield right of way.
April 24: Jessica Kalisz, 31, Rock Falls, was cited for expired registration.
April 25: Officers responded to a two vehicle crash involving Susan K. Brotheridge, 70, Sterling, and a parked vehicle owned by Mary C. Pierce, 70, Oregon. No citations were issued.
April 26: Christopher T. Lewis, 61, Oregon, was arrested for possession of a lost or mislaid credit or debit card and released with a notice to appear. Dalton J. Blatter, 28, Oregon, was arrested on a Lee County warrant for contempt of court.
During April, officers also issued 35 verbal warnings and one parking citation.
