STERLING – One person is dead and two more are seriously hurt following a two-vehicle crash in Whiteside County. Authorities say the accident happened Monday on U.S. Route 30 near the I-88 westbound on-ramp when a Chevrolet Impala hit a flatbed construction truck. A passenger in the Impala died and both drivers suffered severe injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
