Ogle County Sheriff’s Office September Report

The following information has been released by the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon, Illinois, detailing recent arrests, traffic stops, and crash investigations. All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

September 5, 2026

• Traffic Crash: At approximately 1217 hours, Deputies responded to the intersection of East Illinois Route 64 and South Mulford Road for a two-vehicle accident with minor injuries. A silver Ford Escape, operated by Charles E. Davies (20, Hubertus, WI), was stopped waiting to turn north when a gray GMC Terrain, operated by Raul E. Oseguera (54, Rochelle), failed to reduce speed and struck the rear of the Ford. Raul was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Both drivers were transported to Rochelle Community Hospital for minor injuries.
• Traffic Arrest: At approximately 1458 hours, Deputies responded to the 7000 block of Sunflower Lane in rural Rochelle for a 911 hang-up. Following an investigation, Elsa S. Lopez-Lopez (39, Rochelle) was arrested for driving without a valid license and released on a notice to appear.
• Disorderly Conduct Arrest: At 1811 hours, Deputies responded to the 10,000 block of W IL RTE 64 for a domestic disturbance. Brennden M. Harms (23, Polo) was arrested for disorderly conduct and released on a notice to appear.
• Warrant Arrest: At 1140 hours, Deputies responded to a 911 hang-up in the 10,000 block of N. Hoisington Road. After determining there were no issues, Deputies arrested Jose Rincon (38, Willis, TX) on an outstanding Ogle County failure to appear misdemeanor warrant. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

September 6, 2026

• DUI Arrest: At approximately 0116 hours, deputies conducted a traffic stop near W Washington St and S 4th St in Oregon. Divante Zinke (24, Oregon) was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, a license classification violation, speeding, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
• Warrant Arrest: At 2030 hours, Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 11000 block of E Flagg Rd. Julia D Hill (48, Rochelle) was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County failure to appear felony warrant and held in lieu of bond.
• Two-Vehicle Accident: At approximately 2210 hours, Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of N. River Road regarding a golf cart accident involving an injured juvenile. Benjamin Stenson (21, Oostburg, WI) was traveling northbound on private property in a golf cart when he struck an 8-year-old juvenile from Beloit, WI, who was on an e-bike. The juvenile was transported to Javon Bea Hospital by Byron EMS for non-life-threatening injuries. No citations were issued.

September 7, 2026

• Warrant Arrest: At 0738 hours, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of N IL RTE 2, Oregon. Sarah R Sorochan (37, Sterling) was arrested on active Lee and Whiteside County warrants for failure to appear/contempt and cited for expired registration.
• Warrant Arrest: At approximately 2300 hours, Deputies conducted a warrant service in the 8000 block of North Kishwaukee Road, Stillman Valley. Joseph G Dreesen (26, Stillman Valley) was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant for a prior felony charge and held in lieu of bond.

September 8, 2026

• Traffic Arrest: At 1255 hours, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5000 block of S Center Road, Rochelle. Buddy M Mason (25, Arlington Heights) was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for no front registration, operating a vehicle with suspended registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
• DUI Arrest: At approximately 2342 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near South Meridian Road and East Illinois Route 64. Tristan Smith (27, Chana) was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, and DUI with a blood alcohol concentration greater than .08.

September 10, 2026

• Accident with Injuries: At approximately 1003 hours, Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at Lowell Park Road and Anterior Road. A beige Buick Century, driven by Annie Zak (72, Woosung), traveled eastbound on Anterior Road and entered the intersection without stopping at the stop sign, striking a northbound Subaru Outback driven by Kenneth Masters (83, Dixon). Zak was transported to OSF St. Katherine’s Hospital by Polo EMS for non-life-threatening injuries and cited for defective brakes and disregarding a stop sign.

September 11, 2026

• Warrant Arrest: At 1439 hours, deputies conducted a follow-up investigation in the 2000 block of N Leaf River Road, Leaf River. Stephanie R Peters (40, Leaf River) was arrested on an active Stephenson County warrant for failure to appear for driving while license suspended.
• Traffic Arrest: At 1612 hours, deputies conducted a traffic stop at E IL RTE 38 and S Mulford Road, Creston. Michael T Daniel Jr (26, Rockford) was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for operating a vehicle with suspended registration.

September 12, 2026

• Traffic Arrest: At 0810 hours, deputies conducted a traffic stop on E IL RTE 38 near S Mulford Road, Rochelle. Ignacio Ponce Rivera (51, Rochelle) was arrested for driving with a driver’s license expired greater than one year/no valid driver’s license, and cited for illegal window tint and no mud flaps.
• Traffic/Warrant Arrest: At 0816 hours, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of N Meridian Road, Chana. Lee A Ericsson (32, Polo) was arrested for driving while license suspended and an active Ogle County warrant for failure to appear, alongside a citation for a loud muffler.
• Traffic Arrest: At approximately 0934 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3000 block of West Illinois Route 64, Oregon. Andrew J Swift (40, Mount Morris) was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for operating a vehicle with suspended registration.
• Traffic/Warrant Arrest: At 1221 hours, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5000 block of N IL RTE 251, Davis Junction. Kenneth F Wendaur (44, Rockford) was arrested for driving while license suspended and an active Winnebago County warrant, alongside citations for failure to secure new registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and no rear registration plate.
• Domestic Battery: At approximately 2052 hours, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 10000 block of West Illinois Route 64, Polo. Brennden M. Harms (23, Polo) was arrested for domestic battery and held awaiting a court appearance.
• DUI / Resisting: At approximately 2238 hours, Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 16000 block of East Ritchie Road, Rochelle. Julian A Gomez (25, Chicago) was arrested for two counts of assault, resisting arrest, driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a BAC over .08, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
• DUI Accident: At approximately 2351 hours, Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 10000 block of N Tower Road, Byron. Brian P. McCarey (60, Byron) was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

September 13, 2026

• Car vs. Motorcycle Accident: At 1053 hours, deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of W IL RTE 64, Mount Morris. A black 2007 Yamaha FZ1 motorcycle, operated by Milan Zviefelhofer (51, Schiller Park), attempted to pass a silver 2016 GMC Terrain driven by Rose M. Medearis (55, Mount Morris) as it signaled and turned south into a driveway. The motorcycle lost control, went onto its side, and struck the driver’s side of the GMC. Zviefelhofer was transported to Mercyhealth Hospital in Rockford by Mercyhealth React helicopter. No citations were issued.

September 14, 2026

• Traffic Crash: At approximately 1250 hours, Deputies responded to the 7900 block of West Pines Road for a two-vehicle crash. Louie Potts (20, Rochelle) was cited for failure to reduce speed after rear-ending a vehicle driven by Wendy Eisenberg (73, Dixon), who was transported to OSF St. Katherine’s Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
• Warrant Arrest: At 1951 hours, deputies conducted a warrant service in the 300 block of N 7th St in Rochelle. Jaime S Pelayo (46, Rochelle) was arrested on an active Ogle County warrant for failure to appear/contempt of court.

September 15, 2026

• Traffic Arrest: At 0209 hours, Deputies responded to the 5000 block of N Limestone Rd for a domestic report. Christopher T Davis (40, DeKalb) was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended and released on a notice to appear.

September 16, 2026

• Traffic Arrest: At 1628 hours, deputies conducted a traffic stop near E IL Rte 38 and S Woodlawn Rd, Creston. Adonis S Matthew (22, DeKalb) was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for illegal window tint, suspended registration/mandatory insurance violation, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

September 17, 2026

• Fatal Crash: At approximately 11:05 a.m., deputies responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck on northbound Interstate 39 near mile marker 110. A 2017 Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide, driven by Anthony Vick (60, Okmulgee, OK), failed to reduce speed and struck the rear of a 2017 Peterbilt semi-truck driven by James Nikon (Gainesville, FL). Vick was ejected and sustained fatal injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

September 18, 2026

• Warrant Arrest: At approximately 0711 hours, Deputies initiated a traffic stop near Hitt St and Carr Ct in Mt Morris. David Brandt (40, Leaf River) was arrested on an outstanding DeWitt County Illinois warrant.
• Traffic/Warrant Arrest: At approximately 1040 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 18000 block of East Illinois Route 38, outside Creston. Sonia Teutla (36, Rochelle) was arrested for driving while license suspended and an outstanding Ogle County warrant, alongside a citation for operating with suspended registration.
• DUI / Child Endangerment: At approximately 1354 hours, Deputies responded to a juvenile complaint in the 4000 block of E. Woodbine Road, rural Byron. Courtney Pruitt (38, Forreston) was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, child endangerment, illegal transportation of alcohol, and DUI with a BAC over .08.

September 19, 2026

• Domestic Battery: At approximately 1157 hours, Deputies responded to the 100 block of Terrace View Blvd, Oregon, for a domestic disturbance. Bryan Beers (45, Rockford)—who had left the scene—was later located near Grand Detour and arrested for aggravated domestic battery-strangulation, domestic battery, driving on a suspended license, and an outstanding Ogle County arrest warrant.
• Traffic Arrest: At approximately 1329 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Big Mound Rd and Illinois Route 251. Roger Garcia-Fiebrantz (33, Rockford) was cited for driving without a driver’s license and no insurance.
• Domestic Battery Arrest: Following a disturbance reported on September 18 in the 100 block of Jasmine Ave, Davis Junction, Christopher R Weber (47, Rockford) was located and arrested on September 19 at approximately 1805 hours for domestic battery.

September 20, 2026

• DUI Arrest: At approximately 1420 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 18000 block of East Illinois Route 72. Eric Kirk (45, Pittsboro, TX) was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC of .08 or more, disobeying a stop sign, and improper lane usage.
• Warrant Arrest: At approximately 1627 hours, Deputies conducted a warrant service in the 700 block of East Mix Ln in Oregon, taking Randi Suter (38, Springfield) into custody on two outstanding Ogle County warrants.

September 21, 2026

• Traffic Arrest: At 1440 hours, deputies conducted a traffic stop near E IL Rte 38 and S Mulford Rd, Rochelle. Jonathan A Baker (42, DeKalb) was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for a suspended registration/mandatory insurance violation.

September 22, 2026

• Illegal Dumping: At approximately 0438 hours, Deputies responded to 5534 North Limestone Road, Monroe Center (Casey’s Gas Station) for a report of a man dumping gasoline behind the store. Alvin R. Dyck (66, Daysland, Alberta, Canada) was arrested for illegal dumping and released on a notice to appear.

September 23, 2026

• Traffic Crash: At approximately 0726 hours, Deputies responded to an 11,000-block N IL RTE 2 two-vehicle accident. A southbound vehicle driven by Yuri Gomez Ramirez (33, Rockford) crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a City of Rock Falls vehicle driven by Shae Smith (42, Rock Falls). Gomez Ramirez was cited for defective brakes and improper lane usage, and transported to Swedish American Hospital for minor injuries.
• Possession of Controlled Substance / Stolen Firearm: At approximately 1639 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near East Illinois Route 64 and South Blackhawk Road. Damian R. Jacobson (26, Oregon) was arrested for driving with a suspended license, possession of firearm ammunition and a firearm without a FOID, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of methamphetamine under five grams, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
• Traffic Arrest: At approximately 1646 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near 4th Street and Illinois Street in Oregon. Gabriel Banuelos-Mendez (26, Rockford) was arrested for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle outside the approved container and possession of 30-100 grams of cannabis, alongside a citation for illegal window tint.
• Warrant Arrest: At approximately 1940 hours, Deputies checked on a subject in the 100 block of S Blackhawk Rd in Oregon, taking Justin S. Anders (49, Rochelle) into custody on an outstanding Ogle County failure to appear warrant and a Stephenson County warrant.

September 24, 2026

• Traffic Crash: At approximately 1610 hours, Deputies responded to a single-vehicle collision in the 6900 block of North Illinois Route 26. A southbound Chevrolet 1500 pickup operated by Damien W. Campbell (36, Mount Morris) entered the east ditch and struck a utility pole to avoid a tractor turning eastbound onto Townline Road. Campbell was treated for minor injuries at the scene. No citations were issued.

September 25, 2026

• Traffic Arrest: At approximately 1245 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of N IL RTE 251, Rochelle. Josue De Jesus Medina Lucho (22, LaSalle) was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license, speeding, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
• Traffic Arrest: At approximately 1427 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near E Quarry Rd, ultimately stopping at Fairdale Rd and Quarry Rd in DeKalb County. Jamie C Jordal (55, Sycamore) was arrested for driving while license revoked and cited for expired registration.
• Traffic Arrest: At approximately 1703 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 19000 block of E IL RTE 64. Jordyn A. Erickson (29, DeKalb) was arrested for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle outside the approved container and possession of 30-100 grams of cannabis, alongside a citation for improper display of registration.
• Traffic Arrest / Warrant: At approximately 2141 hours, Deputies checked on a vehicle in the 700 block of West Blackhawk Drive in Byron. Andrew J. Swift (40, Mount Morris) was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for fleeing to elude, obstructing identification, and operating a motor vehicle with no valid license.

September 26, 2026

• Check Welfare / DUI: At approximately 1731 hours, deputies responded to a check welfare call at 204 IL Route 38 (Casey’s General Store) in Creston. Timothy M. Kittle (53, Rochelle) was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI-BAC .08 or more, no seat belt, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. September 27, 2026

• Driving Under the Influence: At approximately 2100 hours, Deputies responded to a driving complaint near North Illinois Route 2 and North Meridian Road, later stopping Samuel G. Barton (64, Rockford) near East Blackhawk Drive and North Market Street, Byron. Barton was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for improper lane usage, failure to secure load, transporting open alcohol as a driver, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

September 29, 2026

• Aggravated DUI / Fleeing: At approximately 0319 hours, Deputies attempted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of N Mulford Rd, rural Monroe Center. A red Toyota Camry fled into Winnebago County before returning to Ogle County and crashing head-on into a ditch embankment near N Perryville Rd and E Crill Rd. The driver, Morgan E. Giles (21, Dixon), was arrested for aggravated DUI (no insurance), aggravated fleeing to elude, possession of methamphetamine, possession of Xanax, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI of drugs, speeding 35+ mph over the limit, disregarding a stop sign, improper lane usage, no front plate, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Passenger Austin J. Cooper (31, Galesburg) was treated for minor injuries and arrested on outstanding warrants out of DeKalb and Grundy counties.

September 30, 2026

• Traffic Arrest: At approximately 2302 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of S IL RTE 2, Grand Detour. Daymeion D Eckhardt-McGlown (26, Chicago) was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license, obstructing identification, and an active failure to appear warrant out of Whiteside County. He was additionally issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no valid registration.
