Lane Reductions Scheduled at Route 251 Interchange in Rochelle

ROCHELLE – Lane reductions are scheduled to begin today on Illinois Route 251 under I-88 and on the Reagan Memorial Tollway as part of bridge repair work. Route 251 traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Daily lane closures also will be scheduled on I-88, reducing traffic to one lane in each direction as needed. The work includes concrete repairs, bridge deck and parapet sealing and bridge joint cleaning. The project is expected to continue through November, with all work scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. Drivers should slow down, watch for changing traffic patterns and use caution in the construction zone.
